MYSTIC.ROSE
The Mystic Rose is the complete graph drawn on a circle. A ring of points is set out at equal intervals, and every point is joined to every other point by a straight line. That is the entire rule. Yet from it a dense lattice of crossings emerges: rings within rings, stars within stars, all turning around a small empty eye at the center.
Here the rose assembles itself. The points wait quietly on the circle, then one by one, around the ring, each reaches out with a line toward every one of its companions. When the last pair is joined, the network is complete.
Increase the number of points and the lines become a fabric too fine to follow. These deep field images look closely into that structure. Where many lines cross at nearly the same place, light gathers, and the intersections of interest glow like stars in a distant survey.
The symmetry of the circle repeats every coincidence. Bright points line up in rows, arcs, and spokes, echoing across the field.
